topic Account with sigill and sigbus (7) errors in Peer-Peer Topics

I have a strange issue with a teacher's account.
Daily, her chrome-book will stop responding with one of Google's unhelpful error messages, "Oh snap" or "there seems to be a problem" or "can't open this page"
The real error listed below these messages was typically error code "SIGILL" and has lately been error code "SIGBUS (7)"
Sometimes it comes back after a restart, but it doesn't always.
I've given her another Chromebook to use, reset her Chromebook, cleared all browsing data, moved her account to another OU and back. All of the usual troubleshooting steps.
Looking at the errors it would seem to point to a memory issue, but using another computer for a couple of days (and still getting the errors) would seem to rule out any problems with her current computer's hardware.
I can't think of anything else besides deleting her account and recreating it. I don't really want her to have a new account that doesn't follow our system, but I'm at wits end here with what we can do.
