Google search screen not loading

All of a sudden a few students get the following message when they try to do any Google search

For some it hangs on the page for awhile and eventually loads.

For others it stays on the page indefinitely.

I tried wiping the Chromebooks and that didn't fix it.

When I googled this message, I found a page that stated the GoGuardian extension caused it. We no longer use GoGuardian.

An suggestions?

Just give feedback to support.

This is Google using too many hops to get you to the final page.

Yes, it's funny that they are being caught out by their own browser, but that's what's happening.

If you have any kind of web filter or adblocker, this is Google trying to circumvent that and still show you and read all data they want. It's both a load balancing issue and basic magic by Google. If you have quick eyes, you can even see that it hops via YouTube and other services before actually loading the thing you asked for. Can happen when trying to access other services than Search too.
