Including "Knowledge" in a Gem, prohibits saving Classwork in Google Classroom

I apologize for the rather long post, but the details are important for the issue at hand.

We are trying to use the "Add Gem" feature in Google Classroom, but when we include a Gem in any of the Assignments there's a constant graphical, and logical, error. (See attached photos)
From all of my testing it seems to be triggered by adding any files to the Knowledge section in the Gem.

So if we have som "fun" with the permissions, and with the settings, I end up with these scenarios when adding Knowledge:

No files added - Everything works.
Upload from local laptop - Everything works
Files added from Shared Drive - It doesn't work.
Files added from Personal Drive (Restricted) - It doesn't work
Files added from Personal Drive (Shared internally with all - It doesn't work
Files added from Personal Drive (Shared externally with all - It doesn't work

If I set the Gem's sharing settings beforehand, none of the three settings work at all.
So no matter if I choose Restricted, shared internally or shared with all - None of it works and simply states that it won't fix access settings. (See attached photos)

Basically sharing Gems are broken unless the teachers first download all the Knowledge and then reupload it directly into a Gem, before then including it in the Classwork.

That simply can't be the intended way that is supposed to work?

Unfortunately not, it's still set as a high priority and reproducible by Google.
They are however unable to solve it as of yet, so currently we are stuck with Gems that can't contain any Knowledge.

I forgot to add, that it has been acknowledged by Google as an error.

Google has finally gotten around to fixing this bug, so Knowledge can now again be added to a Gem with the intention of sharing it.
