[Product Update] Upcoming change to Google Classroom’s co-teacher feature starting Dec 2025

Starting December 2025, Google Classroom will no longer support adding external users (from not-trusted domains) as co-teachers to classes.

To me that sounds like it will no longer be possible to add a gmail_com-user as a co-teacher, since that domain can probably not be added as a trusted domain?

Yes, it says that no gmail accounts

"This change affects external users, meaning those who are not a part of your
domain or a trusted domain. This includes all personal Google account
users (i.e. @gmail.com users)."
