Is it possible to allow teachers to share Gems with students, but not allow students to share their own Gems? I've turned off Gem sharing at the student OU level, but now it looks like they can't receive one shared through Google Classroom or directly through gemini.google.com.

This is not possible. Teach responsible use of technology. What is the risk you are concerned about?

Thanks for confirming. I don't have any specific concerns, it just seems like another potential distraction. I'm not seeing the benefit of students sharing Gems with one another. We do try to teach responsible tech use, but when we keep putting more and more distractions in front of our students many of them don't yet have the executive function or the will to not try to abuse it in some way.
