Our school is Cyber Essentials certified and to continue this we need to ensure that mobile devices accessing our email and or Drive is on the latest OS version and secure. We are a hybrid of Microsoft and Google.

Our IT support company that is helping with this has suggested Endpoint Manager (MS) to manage the devices and create a script to warn users they need an updated phone. This is coming at a cost, and if anything I would rather invest in Google licences and I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using Google's MDM in a similar way to keep compliant for OS version? There seems to be a fair bit of information out there, but can you set up messages like my IT support are implying? If I were to go down the Google route on this I would be going out on my own and it seems like a pretty huge task. Many thanks.

I do not, yet, require specific mobile versions, nor Windows, macOS, and CB versions, although that is possible.

Thanks for this feedback. I will contact our resellers but this might be more expensive than the MS version.

Do note that you of course get a bunch of other goodies if you upgrade to Plus. 🙂
