Has anyone tried the Digital signage solution from Comeen?

Google is recommending it

Here are the two options for migration:
Option 1: Migrate to Comeen
Comeen is a Chrome Enterprise Recommended Partner that provides a no-cost web app that replaces Chrome Sign Builder. Contact Comeen to start using their platform and deploy it on your ChromeOS kiosk devices.
Option 2: Deploy alternative web apps
Deploy alternative web apps to your ChromeOS kiosk devices using the Google Admin console. For more information refer to this page.

We use a PWA with a custom HTML file. It allows us to update a Google Presentation for our school.

Other kiosks are PWA as well.

I reached out to Comeen and you only get a free trail period (of 3 years or something), it's not free forever!

We switched to Xibo. If you self host and have old Windows boxes for signage, it's totally free (which is the route we went). Otherwise if you want to use their cloud hosting and/or use chrome devices for the displays, there is a small fee.

We currently use Risevision over approximately 100 devices, a mix of ChromeOS and others. Works well and their flat rate pricing was attractive for us.

We are in the process of evaluating Vivi as an alternate option as we are looking to move to their devices for casting.

We created an HTML file with an embedded Google presentation. We wanted weather and time on our screens. It looks pretty to end users but the code is not the cleanest. Feel free to borrow whatever you need.

I tried to get scaling working as expected but I'm no web designer. If someone wanted to contribute to make it dynamically scale, that would be cool. But it's not my fire this month...

I think you can just enter the *published URL* in as a PWA and it should load with the expected settings. You may want to play with the slides "page setup" to get the correct aspect ratio.

Aw, that's brilliant! Love the commented code, explaining what the different things do.

This can also easily be hosted on any website, and pushed as a web url kiosk.

You say unzip and open in Chrome, so you open it manually on your signage devices?

Doing it that simple means one can do it on any device that can read local (or remote) html files. I assume the browser in a smart TV. A raspberry Pi and an old iPad in single page mode.

We currently host this internally and run this as a PWA from chromeboxes attached to devices.

We are working on hosting this directly on cloudflare using cloudflare workers (for free). I just want to get the dynamic aspect ratio working before I migrate. Another project for another time!

Once there, we can update the HTML in cloudflare and it will systematically update the kiosks/Digital signage around our schools.

To clarify, to see what it looks like, just extract it and open the HTML file in chrome.

Feel free to use it. I've intentionally made this simple. A few JavaScript calls and Viola!
