This morning we heard from a number of Windows users about problems with printing and print preview.

Steps to reproduce problem:

When printing webpages that use text-shadow (such as Genesis and Frontline), the print preview often loads very slowly, fails to load while displaying "Loading preview" indefinitely, or freezing of the print dialog box altogether.

Printing before the preview loads results in blank pages at the copier.

I was able to reproduce this using Chrome version 133.0.6943.60 (Official Build) (64-bit) using test html files with and without text-shadow.

Print previews display normally on pages without text-shadow.

This is not happening on older Chrome version 132.0.6834.190 or developer version 135.0.6999.2 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)

Workaround:

We found printing via the Windows system dialog (Ctrl+Shift+P) and bypassing Chrome's print preview resolved the issue.
