iPad MDM Issue

I have been playing with the iPad MDM in the admin console. One issue that I have come across that could be a non negotiable is as follows

We force install Google Device Policy and log in with the desired user to create the managed iPad.

We then push out the Google Drive App

Drive is logged in with the correct user. BUT I can go to the avatar, select "Manage accounts on this device" and then remove that account, Now the device does not have the Policy app logged in and device is no longer "managed"

Anyone else seen this and found a solution?

Generally speaking, we have found that Google does a lot of things but is rarely the best-in-class in any of them. We are currently using Mosyle to manage our iPads. They are our third MDM over my 12 years at my school district and by far the best in both performance and customer service.

We use Mosyle her also. My hope was that I could eliminate the cost and further justify purchasing plus. But it does not seem like that will work for us.

@llennon -- Are you adding these devices to Google MDM via Apple School Manager (see https://support.google.com/a/answer/10287358)? If so, they should come in supervised and allow you to employ sticky policies. I'd encourage you to check out the #Google-Workspace channel on MacAdmins Slack as well.
