Breakout Rooms in Google Meet

Good afternoon!

We finally made the transition from Zoom to Google Meet. I know it is possible to create multiple breakout rooms and assign guests to a room.

Is it possible to create multiple breakout rooms and allow the guests to select which room they wish to join? From the testing I've done it appears you have to assign guests to rooms. Can someone please confirm this?

No, users can't choose a breakout room. You can either assign them to rooms in advance via the calendar invitation, or on the fly (randomly or manually) when in a call.

It's a good idea though. You should submit a feature request.
