Server Host Location - Canada

Hello! I am new to the admin side of Google and my school is considering roll out for next school year. I will be tasked with the admin of our Google workspace, but I have more experience from the teacher side.

Can someone help with a school concern regarding the server location for students in Canada? Here are a couple things I'm looking into that I could use support with:

- Can a school from Canada request all data be stored in a Canadian server through our Education account or does that require a business license?

- If that's possible, do you typically just store staff data in Canada and students are hosted through US servers with parental consent?

I believe that you can only limit it to the United States or to Europe, and only if you have Education Standard or Education Plus. Here is more information about it: https://support.google.com/a/answer/7630496?hl=en&fl=1&sjid=11886365961669168360-NC

It is as Steve says. Currently, the only other option besides US is Europe.

Do give feedback, they should perhaps increase that somewhat.
