Android apps should not be forced to (or probably even allowed) users of shared devices. Especially not if you are using Ephemeral Profiles, as the Apps will have to be reinstalled for each user, on every login.

Anyone out there successfully using Android apps on chromebooks?

This morning I configured the Google Translate and Google Lens android apps from the Play Store to a few OUs within my chromebook deployment. The Google Translate app has appeared on the devices in question, but the Google Lens app has not. Is there some compatibility issue I a unaware of with the Google Lens android app?

Or am I simply not waiting long enough for it to appear on the devices? I pushed them both out at the same time (about an hour ago). Google Translate appeared within 20 minutes, but still waiting for Google Lens.

Update........... on a device in question, I went to chrome://policy and scrolled down to "ArcPolicy" to see that the Google Lens app DOES actually show as being pushed, and force installed, but it is not physically on the device.

Explain that!

Agreed, I rarely go down this road, primarily for this reason. Just more proof that Android apps on chromebooks is very "hit and miss".
