Welcome to GEG-Indiana! What would you like to learn and share?

Hello, Indiana educators!

We’re reenergizing GEG-Indiana and building this Hub as a place for educators across Indiana’s K–12 schools and districts to connect, ask questions, and share ideas for using Google tools to support teaching and learning.

Whether you’re a classroom teacher, instructional coach, librarian, administrator, or technology team member, we’d love to learn from you. You don’t need to be a Google expert to participate—questions, small successes, and lessons learned are all welcome!

Help us get the conversation started. Reply with:

One topic or type of support you would find most helpful from GEG-Indiana.

We’re also interested in connecting educators around the Google AI Educator Series. Hi all! I'm so excited to have the GEG back in Indiana! My name is Kyle Kline and I am the DIrector of Digital Learning in Monticello. I am pumped to connect with you all at HECC.

My favorite Google tool right now is Gemini Notebook. I just keep creating more and more with it and using different prompts to really get what I want. It's outputs are top notch.

I would love to see how many other districts have Gemini and Notebook open for their students. I'm super interested in seeing how others are dealing with AI literacy at their districts too.

Hi everyone! I’m Vic Chamness, Director of Artificial Intelligence & Instructional Technology at Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. This is my 40th year in education, with experiences across K–12 and higher education, and I’m still finding new things to learn and try!

Like Kyle, I’m excited to help reenergize GEG-Indiana and connect with colleagues across the state. There’s so much we can learn from one another about what’s working, what’s challenging, and what we might try next.

Joining us at HECC? We’ll be sharing about GEG-Indiana, introducing this Hub, and gathering your ideas for the community. Check the Event section for our session details. We’ll also highlight the Google AI Educator Series and ways we can support educators who are getting started or want to build on what they’ve already completed.

Another area I’m excited to share is building practical apps using Google’s AI Studio and Google Cloud tools. I start with a specific need, describe the workflow and desired features, and use AI to help develop and refine the app. Then comes testing, gathering feedback, and making improvements—it’s an ongoing process!

A few examples I’ve been developing include:

CTE Curriculum Helper: Helps teachers develop lesson ideas, learning targets, success criteria, activities, and substitute plans aligned with our curriculum maps.
Monthly Mileage Assistant: Uses Google Calendar information to help prepare monthly mileage reports.
Early Literacy Helper: Offers families simple reading, talking, playing, and learning activities based on a child’s age and the time available.

These projects have been a useful way to explore how we can create tools around local needs. I’d enjoy sharing what I’m learning and hearing about similar work in other districts.

Hey Educators!

My name is Matt Pryor, and I’m the Technology Integration Specialist for Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools. I've spent over two decades in the classroom and technology integration. I’m looking forward to collaborating with this team to bring Indiana educators together, share fresh ideas, and support one another.

One of my biggest passions right now is AI in education. I led our district’s AI initiative, where Google Gemini is our primary AI tool for students in grades 6–12 alongside Gemini Notebook. Personally, I love using Gemini’s Canvas feature to build interactive apps and dashboards for teachers and administrators—and we're now working on teaching students how to create their own educational apps!

I’m looking forward to learning from all of you, sharing practical ideas, and helping support K-12 educators across Indiana as we explore Google's tools together.

Hello! My name is Abby Pagryzinski, and I am the Training and Development Specialist for Carmel Clay Schools.

A Google-related resource I recently made is a Web Accessibility Notebook in Gemini Notebook. I'm hoping it will be a resource for our staff's questions.

I think the most helpful part of groups like this is just idea sharing. We have a great wealth of knowledge and Indiana and I look forward to learning from all of you 🙂
